My first Exhibition experience – Kala Spandan Art Exhibition which was conducted between December 1 to 3, 2024 at Nehru Centre, Worli, Mumbai.

My experience in Kala Spandan Art exhibition was unique as I had exhibited my works for the first time. The three-day experience gave me an understanding of how the art world functions, the intricacies involved and the demand from the artists to put up their work on show and seek recognition.

Artists came from all walks of life and the way in which we presented was wonderful. It helped us connect amongst ourselves and understand different perspectives. All art works on display were unique and interesting. It helped us explore new ideas and gave an insight into what goes behind an artist’s work. Each artist felt immensely proud about the effort put in creating the artwork and one could see their passion on display.

Generally, an artist’s work requires plenty of time, patience and energy which needs to be encouraged and appreciated. The interaction between the artists was beneficial and added to one’s understanding.

In conclusion, I can say that it is indeed difficult to understand an artist’s perspective as he or she is always thinking creatively to explore new ideas and give form and shape to the idea. It definitely created an awareness in me that these artists no matter their standing need to be encouraged as this would only spur them to become creative.
